G8 INROADS IN ARAB STATES: DEVELOPMENT OR SPIRAL DOWNFALLS?

G8 INROADS IN ARAB STATES: DEVELOPMENT OR SPIRAL DOWNFALLS?
Erle Frayne D. Argonza
Western powers, via the G8 headhammer nations, are re-charting development tracks for the Arab states. Such re-directions are being rushed, in light of the uprisings in the Arab region that threatens the very investments as well as the degree of continuing control and manipulation of the latter countries by Western financier oligarchs.
How far the G8 can carve out new development arrangements that can re-secure their hold of the said regions is surely in question. Emerging markets that are purse-rich are now much engaged in North Africa and the Middle East, rendering them as alternative orbits for dependence in case the newly installed Arab regimes will lose the old ‘chocolate bar sweeteners’ of aid and investments from their Western masters.
Below is an update report from the DevEx regarding the G8 contingency steps being taken for the Arab states.

At Deauville Summit: G8 Outlines New MENA Partnership, Reaffirms Aid Commitments
G-8 leaders ended their 37th summit in France on Friday (May 27) with the announcement of a new partnership with countries in the Middle East and North Africa and a confirmation of their commitment to global development efforts. Both partnership and overall G-8 development plans drew mixed reactions from experts and members of the international development community.
The Deauville Partnership is the G-8’s response to the so-called Arab Spring and outlines the leaders’ commitment to support stabilization and economic modernization in Egypt and Tunisia, and possibly other MENA countries that will be open to reforms. The partnership commits $20 billion worth of economic aid from multilateral banks, and G-8 leaders said they aim to mobilize up to $20 billion more from bilateral sources.
Some experts praised the Deauville Partnership for laying out an important vision for engagement with MENA countries, but others criticized the G-8 for not outlining a detailed aid timeline or specific financial contributions per country. There were also others who voiced concern that the partnership and the assistance G-8 countries plan to channel through it could affect budgets for development programs in other regions of the world.
The G-8’s commitments to global efforts to improve health and food security were also outlined in the group’s final communique. These included calls for a successful pledging conference for the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization and an announcement of support for reform efforts at the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. The leaders also affirmed their commitment to fulfill past pledges to increase aid for agricultural development and to boost the effectiveness and transparency of their aid information.
Members of the international development community were mostly disappointed with this part of the G-8 communique, which most aid groups said was vague and largely lacking in concrete targets.
“World leaders have got the right words, but until action is delivered, their dither and delay will continue to cost lives,” Chris Page of World Vision U.K. noted.

WESTERN BOMBING ADDICTION OBFUSCATES LIBYAN PRO-DEMOCRACY

April 1, 2011

WESTERN BOMBING ADDICTION OBFUSCATES LIBYAN PRO-DEMOCRACY

Erle Frayne D. Argonza

Civil war rages on in Libya as of this writing. Western powers’ bombing sorties did change the compass of the conflict, as they destroyed armored arsenals and aircraft of government forces, thus weakening Kadhafy’s position. However, the bombing addiction is turning more spurious, even as it obfuscates the legitimacy of the pro-democracy forces.

In previous articles, I already sounded off my resonance with the youthful generations of the Arab world in their just and legitimate campaigns to overthrow republican tyrannies and antiquated kingdoms & sheikhdoms. In the case of Libya, I was amenable to seeing a coalition of forces from Africa (e.g. African Union) and the Arab League help out to flash Kadhafy off his turf.

To recap, Kadhafy responded with sadistic carnage to the peaceful pro-democracy protesters, and that genocide is simply inhumane, demonic and unacceptable by any yardstick of civility. And so he must be ousted by a synergy of external and internal forces, till the opposition will be given the opportunity to construct a new government.

I was surprised by the rapidity with which the Western powers responded and took the cudgels of external intervention, which I did observe with detached coldness for a while. But now, seeing that the ugly ogre of power hegemonism has reared itself, I can see that the bombing obsession could turn the conflict to directions other than what the pro-democracy forces themselves opted to sojourn at the commencement of the campaign.

Obama just seems too over-focused on his own obsession, the same obsession he is now projecting on the leaderships of the USA, France and UK. Just exactly where that obsession will lead to, must be forecast and anticipated with opacity. Obama might revive the already dying Pax Americana which most countries vehemently oppose, revived precisely by the entry of American ground troops to Libya.

Cameron is puppet of the British financiers who have enormous stake in Libya’s oil, so we can expect more of UK intervention in the war. It isn’t remote that the British oligarchs will call the shots by secretly moving to bankroll the war while America provides the ground troops for the oligarchs’ pursuits. It’s Iraq and Afghanistan all over again, and that spells real danger.

Remember, the Anglo-European oligarchy had planned all along to orchestrate the waging of a 3rd World War, by pitting a Sunni-Zion alliance versus an Iranian-led Shiite coalition. The Arab conflicts got their abominable plan almost off-track, so they are recasting their tools and orchestrating opportunities in the Arab conflicts in their favor, so that their apocalyptic agenda will hold through.

As far as American politicians are concerned, Libya has no strategic significance to America’s interests, so they are befuddled by Obama’s obsession with bombing Libya and his subterfuge agenda to land ground troops there. Obama’s divergence from mainstream hegemonistic compass in America would reveal him as a closet Confederate who works unabashedly to align America’s hot wars to the abominations of the Anglo-European oligarchs.

African countries should better act quickly so as to secure the initiatives in orchestrating the external intervention in Libya. Acting out too late, the bombing addicts of the West would transform the conflict into a grotesque holocaust of sorts that could ignite a gigantic conflagration.

STOCK MARKETS SHIVER AS PAN-ARABIA BROILS

March 13, 2011

STOCK MARKETS SHIVER AS PAN-ARABIA BROILS

Erle Frayne D. Argonza

Pan-Arabia, the whole region comprised of Arab ethnicities and state, is broiling in hot embers of social turmoil. As the turmoil escalates, with civil war as the maximum broiler exemplified by Libya, stock markets tumble and shiver.

We thought the new phenomenon of stock markets insulating themselves from political-military hot fires is the order of the day. It seems this isn’t so, as we see the diverse stock markets shiver and grope for better light with the advent of the Arabian broil.

The Philippine stock exchange, which hit the highest level of 4,400+ points late last year, had since been tumbling down, hitting a low level of 3,700+ points since the Arab broils began with the Tunisian crisis. The previous forecasts of the same stock market breaching the 4,800+ points is mere delusional, it is good material for banters and guffaws.

Sure, the Asian growth wave has been helping to jettison stock markets in Asia to better levels, I have no problem accepting this development. I already wrote notes about the matter and published them recently. But there are X factors that can affect stock markets, inclusive of a possible World War III that will pit the Sunni-Zionist alliance versus the Iran-led Shiite coalition.

To my own amazement, the Arab internal turmoil came, thus brushing aside the probability of a global war. Amazement, as I find myself in league with the pro-democracy younger generations of Arabs. Instead, the turmoil by itself has been affecting financial and capital markets in large measures, and so this for us is the X Factor worth observing.

We were all witness to how a political event—the Red Shirts mass upheaval in Thailand—brought down the Bangkok stock markets to pathetic lows last year. That political event was just confined to Thailand by the way, yet the stock markets of contiguous economies did quiver badly while the turmoil was unfolding.

In Pan-Arabia, the turmoil is region-wide, with Tunisia and Egypt showing the way to ‘regime change’ via people power upheaval or revolution. There is not a single political movement orchestrating the turbulence by the way, and let there be no mistake that the turmoil isn’t susceptible to manipulation by any one political or imperialistic force.

A turbulence so gigantic as to embroil an entire region comprising of almost two (2) dozen states is just too mind boggling for various quarters. Financial and stock analysts could be at a lost at the moment for answers to the puzzles raised by the pan-Arabian turmoil, just as political analysts are at a lost for their equivalence of efficacious tools and forecasts.

So the question that can be raised from the unfolding events in pan-Arabia is: will the turmoil make or brake global stocks altogether? If in case the stock markets will plunge anew from this juncture, will the end of the pan-Arabian crisis put an end to the plunge and bring back the stock markets to new bullish rounds? Or, will the stock markets see the end of them all, and lead to the de-institutionalization of centuries of stock trading?

I am of the opinion that stock markets should be abolished altogether, and forecast many years past that stock markets will crash down to never land in the foreseeable future. That crashing down began in 2007, and a much bigger crash will happen sooner or later. The result of that crash will see the greater justification for abolishing the dirty gambling game of stock trading, and lead to alternative capitalization of enterprises other than stock trading.

So let’s all watch out closely for the unfolding events, and see how they dovetail into the stock trading trends. If ever stock markets will show semblance of growth, this will be only tentative till the last month of 2012 if ever. Stock markets will have no future beyond 2012, rest assured.

ARAB SHEIKHS BEWARE THE IDES OF MARCH!

March 5, 2011

ARAB SHEIKHS BEWARE THE IDES OF MARCH!

Erle Frayne D. Argonza

The month of March just commenced as I write this note. It seems that, as of this writing, the ancient echoes of history are reminding the archaic royal states of pan-Arabia of the cryptic message “beware the Ides of March!”

The tumult of pan-Arabia (all territories covered by Arabs of diverse ethnicities) is clearly sweeping the dirt of the ancien regime, regardless of the nature of the states there: republic or archaic (monarchic). The rousing of awareness affects the young generation in particular, no matter what class, ethnicity, or sect they belong to.

So rapid are the unfolding events, and without the proper framework to comprehend what’s going on, the despots and autocrats of pan-Arabia are at a lost as to the proper comprehension of the phenomenon. In the absence of an appropriate framework, the royal rulers have to undertake a drastic palliative of giving respective families some large alms of welfare gifts.

Almost nine (9) quarters of a century ago, the last queen of France, Marie Antoinette, provided the same palliative: by giving cakes to the poor folks in order to deter their involvement in popular risings. Welfare gifts of today are similar to the cakes of Marie Antoinette. Let the sheikhs be reminded that Marie Antoinette and King Louis XVII were beheaded before the public, an event that foreshadowed what would happen to the various other archaic regimes across the globe, no matter if they gave away tons of cakes in case.

While the overthrown Saudi king and/or Arab sheikhs may not be physically decapitated after their removal from power, the fate of the late French monarchs signifies the decapitation of the monarchic power altogether. Which means that, in the short run, all the remaining archaic states in pan-Arabia will be effectively decapitated, and conditions made so hard for a revival of the ancien regime.

If asked for an honest opinion, my perspective on the matter makes me supportive of a republican form (structure) of government for all Arab states. Archaic regimes in pan-Arabia have been integrated into the power nexus of the Anglo-European oligarchy that has been planning to wage a World War III very soon by pitting a Sunni-Jewish alliance versus a Persia/Iran-led coalition.

Saudi Arabia has particularly been arming itself to the hilt, while Syria and Libya have already stockpiled themselves with the arsenals. All done in preparation for the great war. Israel has been undertaking massive military exercises inside Romania, as it will be the core force tasked by the financier oligarchy to frontally attack Iran in the months ahead.

But the political-military context in pan-Arabia had so suddenly changed as a result of the turmoil. All of a sudden, the viability of launching a world war versus Iran has badly eroded. The primary problems of pan-Arabia today are the domestic ones, and so the global war has to be put in abeyance if not shelved altogether.

As I already cogitated in my earlier articles, it will be suicidal for Israel to go to war alone versus Iran & allies (Hezbollah, Hamas, contiguous countries). Not only that, with the changed context in Arab states, Israel has to re-tool itself to be able to understand the rapidly unfolding events and forecast whether the future Arab regimes will be reliable friends or unpredictable enemies.

Meanwhile, the month of March had arrived, and this month bodes ill for the despots and autocrats of pan-Arabia. Beware the Ides of March!

TITANS, AVATAR: RECENT ENLIGHTENING FILMS

April 12, 2010

Prof. Erle Frayne D. Argonza

Magandang hapon! Good afternoon!

I just watched the recent showing of the new version of Clash of the Titans. The movie was as mind-boggling and enchanting as another film shown some couples of months back: Avatar. It is indubitably worth my watch.

Let me share some notes about both films, with the beginning words that they are among those few movies that are truly enlightening. By enlightening, I mean they transport us almost instantly to the realm of the transcendent, there to immerse a bit with our Higher Mind and the environs of the higher dimensions.

Needless to say, the film enables us to engage in deeper reflections about the meanings of the archetypal symbols shown before us. Our Higher Mind knows, for instance, that Zeus signifies the creative or ideational element in life, a meaning that our lower mind could only feebly comprehend.

The film industry is part of the culture industry, and as our noblesse thinkers of the day have shared to us—note Foucault, Habermas, Adorno, Marcuse, Said, for instance—the same industry has been instrumental as social control mechanism. Movies are not meant to enlighten, but rather intended to entertain and keep us glued within the world that is owned and controlled by few oligarchic families.

Hollywood films, being the prototype industry block, are particularly aimed at gaining profits for the film makers. They are so commercialized that they suffer content-wise. Horror movies are particularly fear-inducing and fragmentary of the psyche, intensify paranoia, and instantly add grey dense energies to our chakras or energy centers.

Enlightening films are indeed few, such as Avatar and Clash of the Titans or simply Titans. Not only do they entertain and educate, they also elevate. That effect makes them altogether contributory to the grand project of human evolutionary ascent.

For a social reformer, Avatar and Titans depict the epochal desire of marginal classes and sectors to demolish asymmetry in relationships and liberate the same groups from oppression.

The planetary natives in Avatar could be viewed as today’s indigenous peoples whose struggle against oppression by mainstream, urban, industrial populations was justly depicted in the film. The same natives could also mean 3rd World peoples who have been struggling against imperialism, colonialism, and fascistic domination by industrial powers.

The Titans could be viewed as oligarchic overlords, both landlords and capitalists, who have been subordinating middle and lower classes into their power enclaves. Mankind’s clash with the Titans symbolizes the epical drama of the age-old struggle of mankind against these overlords who are in power economically, culturally, and politically till these days.

To a mystic, the Titans film depicts the birthing of the universes—father universe first, son universes next, human universes last—and the breeding of humans by the creator beings (Titans). The Fall of Man, symbolized by the clash of men against gods, is likewise depicted.

Titans also subtly depicts the birthing of many worlds—collectively signified by ‘humans’—across the universe. Some worlds evolved faster (i.e. symbolized by Perseus, Io, and Andromeda evolved ahead) than others (e.g. Earthlings/Terrans, Maldekians) that lagged behind, while within a world some humans evolved faster than others.

Zeus (root word: Dyaus Pitar or sky fathers) signifies the creative element.  Hades signifies the Anti-Universe that incidentally physicists are beginning to discover. Any community that immerses in the creative element (Zeus) will live prosperity and harmony, while a community that immerses in Anti-Universe (Hades) will be transmogrified to demonic monstrosity (Karkens that signifies  Draconians or reptilian humanoids of Draco).

Perseus signifies the liberating warrior force of Plaeades civilization, while Pegasus signifies the hyper-space technology then evolving. Io signifies the priests of the interplanetary Order of Melchizedek, whose counsels are as precious as God’s words. Warriors and Priests work in synergy, as signified by the mutual esteem and love between Perseus and Io.

Princess Andromeda signifies the Andromeda galaxy civilization, which could have been invaded by Draco in antiquity—symbolized by Andromeda being sacrificed before the Karkens. Plaeadians were actually bred by the Andromedans, so Perseus’ saving of Andromeda is a sublime expression of filial love and debt of gratitude of the Plaeadians to their parent race (Andromedans).

Medusa signifies a high knowledge related to life science that could neutralize or thwart a superior yet gross force of humanoid Reptilians. The death of Hades in Perseus’ hands signifies the neutralization of the Anti-Universe at a particular juncture in antiquity, thus saving many human worlds (planets) from infection and transmogrification into demonic monstrosities.

The death of Hades is also prophetic in that it signifies a future state where the influence of the Anti-Universe on Earth and the Milky Way sector where we belong, will finally be ended. This happens as the universe ascends by a dimension higher comes 2012 A.D.

From a social reformer’s view, Hades’ death signifies the end of oligarchism and oppression of men by fellow men. This view converges with the mystical view, in that planetary ascension will in fact put an end to ancient systems based on polarity principle and Anti-Universe influence, thus ending oligarchism and the money economy.

So, Fellows on Earth, you can choose to perceive the enlightening films through the prism of whatever perspective or paradigm you’d want to view them. I’m gladdened at least that you watched these films, found time for reflections and enchantment.

PHILIPPINE INDEPENDENCE: ASIA’ BEACON OF HOPE

June 12, 2008

Erle Frayne Argonza

Philippine solidarity to all Fellows on Planet Earth!

On the 12th of June 1896, as the sun was rising, the Philippine Flag was raised for the first time in Kawit, Cavite. The Philippine National Anthem was also played, in the genre of classical marches, putting it alongside the French Republic’s anthem. Emilio Aguinaldo, first president of the new republic, declared the independence of the Philippines from Spain and the official birthing of the Philippine nation-state.

That moment of victory, no matter how short-lived it was as the American forces soon snapped off the flame of liberty in the islands, was of gigantic significance to all Asia. For the first time, a modern republic was born, forged from out of the struggles and blood of the Filipino people, who fought arduously against the mighty empire of the Spanish Crown. Over three (3) centuries of Western imperial cruelties, demonic calumnies and abominable barbarities were officially ended that day.

All of Asia watched the unfolding events in the islands then. The young patriarch of the nation, Dr. Jose Rizal, was terminated by the Spaniards in 1896 yet, but his ideas of nationhood spread like wildfire across the archipelago after that infamous moment of his execution. With the founding of a new republic, the Asians realized that nationhood ideas, typified by the thoughts of Rizal, were viable. No matter how mighty an evil empire would be against a colonized people of Asia, the latter will be able to forge collective might and will, terminate imperial rule and build a new sovereign nation-state.

Thus were our fellow Asians emboldened to study the path of national liberation, build the patriotic ideas and revolutionary movements that will serve as their executor vehicles, and wage libertarian campaigns to the finish, even if it will take thousands to millions of martyrs to conclude the national liberation project. Gandhi, Aung San, Sukarno, Sun Yat Sen and leading patriots from fellow Asian lands, who read and digested Rizal’s writings well, stood out among our great leaders in Asia, and the rest was history.

Modern nationhood in Asia started in my beloved country. This is an established fact, though seemingly ignored and forgotten. Because it started here, let it be the duty and obligation of all fellow patriotic Filipino to continue to spread goodwill and good faith unto all the peoples of Earth, whether from developing or developed states. For in today’s context, there are those powerful predatory forces that aspire no end to snuff out the nation-states in the name of their ignominious greed, lust for power, and tyrannical might.

Back home, here, we nationalist patriots continue our struggle against the pro-colonial forces in all spheres of life. Rizal’s dream here hasn’t completely galvanized yet, as the pro-colonials and the oligarchs they serve are ensconced in all terrains of social, cultural, political and economic life. We nationalists are in the margins, while the pro-colonials and pro-oligarchs are hegemonic, and so we will continue with our struggles until the destructive dragons of colonialism and oligarchism will be effectively slaughtered here.

Let the world remember this heraldry, that on the 12th of June 1896, nationhood and the values that underpin it (sovereignty, liberty, brotherhood, patriotism, prosperity) were born and planted in the Philippines as the first instance of nationhood in all of Asia. This being the sublime narrative, we patriotic Filipinos shall continue to bear with us the flame of liberty, and will defend the values that forged nationhood to the last instance of our breaths and energies. That which was first will be the last to fall, and will, with the blessing of Divine Hierarchy, never fall in spirit and wisdom to pursue the grand mission of helping other nations build their own narratives and practices of nationhood.

Hail the Philippine nation! Glory, genius, grandeur!
